Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama's house raided by burglars during Southampton match

Several of Wanayama's possessions were taken, including a shirt belonging to Barcelona's Andres Iniesta

Police are investigating Monday night burglary incident in Southampton player Victor Wanyama’s house.

Burglars are reported to have broken into Victor’s house while he was away on duty with his club at Aston Villa.

According to reports, they made away with his $90,000 Range Rover SUV, furniture, television and electrical items.

The Range Rover was later found in Iver, Buckinghamshire.

Hampshire police said it was investigating the burglary which took place between 08:30 GMT on Sunday and 02:15 on Tuesday, reports BBC.

The Southampton team  had travelled up to the Midlands where Victor Wanyama played in 1-1 draw against  Aston Villa. But when he returned home in the early hours, he found his house raided.

Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has made 14 appearances and scored three goals for his club Southampton this season.
