President Uhuru Kenyatta is the control freak Kenya needs

Reading a piece on a local daily titled “The Prince has reduced CSs to babbling sycophants”, I could not agree more with the fact that our beloved president is a power freak on the disguise.

If there is something that Uhuru has mastered is the art of pleasing the low people and commanding his lieutenants. Uhuru is that guy who is always appearing to feel what the lowly person is feeling. A master of the human side showing affection to those the society would expect him to show affection and also be ruthless towards those the society would want to burn.

In this way, our dear president is a soft version of his father, Jomo Kenyatta who invented the “Kanyoni gakwa wihithahithe, na wonuo nduri wakwa”, a phrase he used to warn grabbers in his administration that they hide themselves or else he disown them. This is what happened to the likes of Francis Kimemia, Engineer Kamau, Ngilu and others.

The fight against killer brew that was launched last week shows just how controlling our president is, as that little meeting pushed MPs into motion. The battle now is everywhere in central Kenya and locals are happily demolishing the dens selling the brew.

His style is probably the only way to push Kenya forward with our increased corruption, disregard of the rule of law and the high level of dominance by the political class.
