Nairobi County governor Dr. Kidero said that the money would be used in the construction of 20,000 house units, commercial centres and social facilities within Nairobi county.

“The funds we have received today from the China Railway Bureau Group is part of the 87 billion dollar that china had pledged to the county government of Nairobi for funding various development projects.”

The Governor said that the meeting between him and the Chinese envoy was a follow up visit after his grand tour to China with President Uhuru Kenyatta four months ago.
