A 24-year-old
woman in Kayole, Nairobi is reported to have stabbed her children on Saturday
evening following an argument with her mother.
The
altercation began when the suspect, Winfred Nduku, was asked by her mother to
prepare food for her kids as they had slept hungry the previous night.
According
to Winfred's mother, Josephine Wambua, her daughter arrived home at about 7 pm
and instead of preparing the food, she was on her phone.
Winfred,

knife and stabbed her two children aged 7 and 2.
The suspect's
mother also told the police that her daughter had threatened to kill her
children in the past.
After
committing the incident, Winfred tried to stab her mother but she was overpowered
and thrown out of the house.
As
neighbours surrounded the house, Josephine says he daughter turned the knife
and stabbed herself in the stomach.
The two
children were rushed to the hospital but succumbed to the injuries before
arrival.
Philip
Ndolo, the Nairobi County police commander said they had commenced
investigations as they wait for the suspect to recover at the Mama Lucy
