The Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) on Thursday confirmed the arrest of one William Hanga Mwazombo, a man who had boasted of defiling minors through several social media posts.

Through a tweet, the DCI confirmed that Mwazombo, an employee of a well-known security firm was arrested on Wednesday.

“Good Morning tweeps! Mr. William Hanga Mwazombo an employee of #Well’s Fargo Security firm was #arrested yesterday & is currently in lawful custody for posting defamatory children photographs on the media.

“We thank you the members of the public for alerting us.#BetterPolicing,” read the tweet.

Prior to this, several complaints had been raised after the accused claimed he was on a mission to define minors.

He went ahead to post photos of the girls that were seen on popular Facebook page Kilimani Mums and irate netizens called on police to arrest him.

Cases of defilement in the country have been on the rise in recent years and parents are a worried lot as these men leave lifetime scars on their innocent children.

The DCI has been working closely with the public to arrest various people who have broken the law and the swift responses have been greatly applauded.

When David Nzomo was filmed beating his wife in Makueni last month, the DCI responded swiftly to ensure his arrest and prosecution, much to the delight of the nation.
