UNBELIEVABLE: Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Real Madrid to securing Spanish star’s signature

It is impossible to believe, but Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers, commonly known as ‘Wolves’, have beaten Spanish giants Real Madrid to the signature of a 20-year-old Spanish football rising star.

According to The Sun and Spanish outlet Super Deporte, Valencia’s Rafa Mir is set to join the English club this month with the club preparing around 1.5 million euros to secure his transfer.

Mir has been excellent so far this season, hitting the back of the net 15 times in 19 appearances in the third tier of Spanish football this season.

Mir has been on the radar of several ‘big’ European teams, with Real Madrid potentially top contenders to sign him.

He has made two appearances for the Valencia senior team and has displayed incredible quality in front of goal.

The Midlanders shave been in fine form this season, leading the Championship standings with 61 points after 26 games, 12 points ahead of rivals Derby County.

With Mir almost signing and the transfer window now open, Wolves will look to reinforce as they aim to avoid the Championship Playoff at the end of the season.
