Champions League: PSG thrushes Barcá as Benfica beat Dortmund

For a number of weeks, the doctors have been pushing for their grievances to be heard by the Government of Kenya. So far there push has not yet yielded to something substantial.

Recently we saw the Doctors’ union officials being jailed for contempt of court a move that saw them spent their time with prisoners.

So far the doctors’ strike has seen the prisoners benefit from the doctors’ strike because the seven jailed doctors’ officials said that they attended to needy cases of inmates who were in dire need of medical attention.

Some of the officials said that they had a tiring moment while treating the inmates. Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacist and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Secretary General Ouma Oluga said that he spent the first night in the jail, in Kamiti Hospital and he admitted that there were so many people who needed him.

The second bunch that has benefited from the strike are the prison warders. Their work was made easy by the presence of those jailed officers who treated inmates at night.

The jailed officials have also voiced their concern about the poor working and living conditions for the prison warders. I believe by raising this concern the government will look into the situation.

The third group of people who have benefited from the doctors' strike is the doctors with private clinics and hospitals because they are getting a high number of patients who are seeking their services hence making a lot of profit than before.
