MIXED RESULTS AS ‘BIG TEAMS’ DROP POINTS IN MIDWEEK TIES

The Deputy president William Ruto is optimistic that the government is going to win its war on drugs.Mr. Ruto hinted that the government has placed all machinery in place to curb the voice.

According to him the war on the drug was longer time started but by now it has been intensified. He further said that they are banking on the United States government to offer them assistance in fighting the drug barons.

The Deputy President said that they have now discovered the network of the drug barons. He said that this will serve as a very good link in fighting the drug menace.

Speaking in Mombasa on Monday while addressing the press Ruto said that the government has already dealt with the rogue police officers who were assisting the drug baron to avoid arrest.

Mr. Ruto also said that the government will deal with the drug lord without minding their political affiliation and might.
He further blamed the drug baron for promoting terrorism and destroying the young generation that is adversely affected by this trade.

Meanwhile, the deputy president has urged the police officers to work closely with Kenyans and in ensuring that the drug lords are arrested and prosecuted.
