Khalwale: Raila dishonest on corruption.

Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has pointed out dishonesty in the CORD leader's stand against corruption both at the national and county governments.

Senator Khalwale in an interview on national television on Thursday morning said CORD leader Raila Odinga spares some individuals and on several occasions shares a podium with the most corrupt to condemn those in absentia over implication in corruption.

He said Raila stood alongside Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya at a rally in Webuye and condemned Governor Ken Lusaka of Bungoma County of corruption.

Khalwale added that it was dishonest for the CORD leader to condemn one and spare the other leaders,.According to him even governors in the opposition were equally corrupt.

"Raila should have asked Oparanya to step aside so as to allow investigations into the suspected corruption at the county since they were in the same function before moving to accuse the Bungoma governor,” said Dr. Khalwale.

Dr. Khalwale will be seeking to oust Governor Oparanya in the August general elections on an opposition pact's ticket.

The two have shared growing rivalry on several occasions with the senator accusing the governor of embezzlement of funds and misuse of public resources.
