A convict was forced to take a shower before paying the fine to regain his freedom.
This was after he pleaded guilty to the charges of urinating in public before a city court.
Peter Gichohi was wearing a mechanic apron and his head was visibly dirty with car grease and dust.
He was quickly ushered into the court cells to wait for his time to pay a Sh500 fine.
Later, county askaris stopped journalists from reaching the man to ask if he had taken a bath in the cell or not.
Gichohi was caught urinating near Kariokor market on October 1.
City senior principle magistrate T Murigi found him guilty on his own admission and ordered him to pay a fine.
He was one of the culprits caught in a swoop by anti-urinating squad of the county government.
