As the 16 days of activism against Gender-Based Violence come to a close, 'Activate Nairobi' is adding a touch of style and entertainment to the conclusion of this crucial campaign.

The initiative has planned an evening filled with both depth and laughter for Nairobi's residents. This is a combined initiative by the Italian Institute of Culture and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

To cap off the awareness drive, they have organised a movie screening of the film Binti at Unseen Nairobi. The movie explores the journeys of four women navigating extreme hardships in Dar es Salaam.

It delves into the complexities of love, motherhood, and societal expectations, shedding light on the resilience and strength of women facing adversities.

Additionally, Levels Hotel in Lavington will play host to a comedy show by standup collectives, addressing gender roles in relation to Gender-Based Violence.

Using humour as a powerful tool, the show aims to engage the audience in light-hearted yet meaningful conversations about societal expectations and their impact on relationships.

By combining entertainment with awareness, Activate Nairobi endeavours to leave a lasting impression on its audience, fostering reflection and discussion about the challenges and solutions surrounding Gender-Based Violence.

This dynamic conclusion promises an evening of reflection, laughter, and a renewed commitment to creating a safer and more equal society for all.
