Charlene Ruto, the daughter of President William Ruto, recently took to social media to announce an exciting new venture aimed at the nation's youth.

The Young People's Network International (TYPNI) is on the hunt for a new logo, and it's calling on the young creatives of Kenya to design it.

According to Ms. Ruto, this initiative is not just a challenge for local designers but also a significant opportunity to contribute to an organization that represents the youthful vibrancy and innovation of Kenya on an international stage.

“This competition provides an opportunity for young designers to showcase their talent and contribute to the vibrant identity of TYPNI,” wrote Ms. Ruto on X.

The competition is particularly noteworthy for its inclusivity, as it is exclusively open to young Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), showcasing TYPNI's commitment to empowering every segment of the youth demographic.

According to the poster shared by Ms. Ruto, the competition is specifically tailored for "young upcoming creatives and not for established graphic designers and companies.”

The chosen design will become the new face of TYPNI, and the winning designer will be rewarded with a cash prize of Sh 100,000. Additionally, they will have the unique opportunity to meet and dine with Ms. Ruto, adding a level of personal touch to the accolade.

The requirements for the logo are specific: it must embody a youthful character and creative flair, reflecting the energetic essence of TYPNI. The use of a vibrant color palette is encouraged, with preferred colors listed on the poster announcing the competition.

The final design must include the full name of the organization or its acronym and be distinct from any other creative brands.

The deadline for submissions is set for March 11th, 2024, and the winner's announcement will follow shortly after, on March 28th, 2024.
