World boxing champion Flyod Mayweather has requested to meet Premier League defending champions Leicester City.

The American boxer is expected to visit the UK for three days and Leicester City's inspirational story last season has attracted his attention.

"I spoke to Mayweather's representatives recently and Floyd has told them he wants to meet the Leicester City team, “said promoter Shane Whitfield in an interview

"City winning the Premier League really was worldwide news and I'm hoping the players can make it."

"Floyd has already made history and now he's one fight from being an immortal.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he announces he's fighting again in September - or maybe next May."
