A solemn prayer to fellow brethren, spare a thought for Brother Deya

It has come to my notice that our brother in the Lord, Archbishop Gilbert Deya, a devout minister of the Gospel, is currently facing a serious trial in godless Europe, in the city of London.

I hear the secular press in that country claims Brother Gilbert is facing charges for “a string of sexual assaults” against four women. The fifth one is actually a girl, aged only 14.

I am heavy-hearted as I write this, partly because I have not heard Brother Gilbert give his side of the story. I must confess I was distressed by the image that I saw of him when he was presented in court in that city. He appeared to have bags under his eyes, which I attributed to a lack of sleep.

GODLESS CITY

We say that the Lord works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. Although this is a time of sorrow, I rejoice that this is also somewhat a godsent opportunity for Brother Gilbert to clear his name, not just against the current charges, but also against his alleged past transgressions.

For those who have forgotten, only a few years ago, there were those who bore false witness against Brother Gilbert, claiming he should be charged with abduction and trafficking tots to that godless city.

This was after his earnest prayers for infertile women in London were rewarded with healthy tots – all delivered in Nairobi, our green city in the sun.

But rather than marvel at the miracle, some doubting Thomases smeared Brother Gilbert’s name.

They targeted a very special woman, Mama Mary Deya. Not even her name Mary, immortalising the mother of Jesus, could dissuade the authorities from pursuing the charges against her.

Even when Mary’s words faltered, unable to convey in words the wondrous experience of watching her womb swell on its own, before delivering a miracle baby, like the flash of “electricity,” as Mary told the authorities, they were not convinced.

And so it came to pass that she was hauled behind bars while still protesting her innocence. She prayed until the prison doors opened – several years later.

Now it is Brother Gilbert’s turn.

I see a correlation between the slander against him then  and the new charges in London. For there is no way Brother Gilbert could have done the things the authorities in that faraway land are claiming if he believed in the miracle conceptions that he spoke so fiercely about. Then, he spoke movingly about the nature of the miracles, saying they were beyond human comprehension.

I said I am rejoicing even in these tough times because the Bible says we shall know them by their fruits.

I truly believe God saved Brother Gilbert for this moment. He wanted to make him an instrument of His work.

For, if Brother Gilbert relied upon the Lord for miraculous conceptions, would he have any use for human copulation, consensual or otherwise?

The judgement day is nigh, and through Brother Gilbert, the Lord will make his Word known.

For, should Brother Gilbert be adjudged to be at fault and condemned to prison, those that he may have led astray through his false prophecies shall be saved.

And should he triumph, he will emerge to praise the Lord, not just for saving him, but for sparing him long enough to experience yet another miracle.

Whichever way his case goes, I verily believe it is for the glory of our Lord, so let’s give thanks and praises, Amen!
