I have a right to bond: Says Kakamega nurse linked to murder of her children

Pherine Maero, a nurse accused of killing her two children caused a stir at the High Court in Kakamega after demanding her matter be given priority. Maero is in court to explain how two children aged seven and nine under her custody died in March last year in their Mwiyala home.

Appearing before Justice Chirchir Chebet, Maero said her case had taken almost a year and some months as the hearing kept being postponed. "This matter was supposed to be heard in July last year but up to date, it has not come up for hearing. My case needs to be given priority," she said.
