Mombasa Court orders Sh1000 notes exhibits replaced with new currency

Mombasa Senior Resident Magistrate Martin Rabera has ordered anti-narcotic detectives to replace Sh 77,000 of old generation Sh1000 notes with the new ones at the central bank before September 30.

The old generation, which will be obsolete after September 30, are exhibits in the trial of two suspects facing drug charges.
