Bank of Africa expands its branch network in Nairobi and Mombasa

Bank of Africa has expanded its branch network to 36 with the opening of branches in South B, Nairobi and Digo Road in Mombasa.

The new branches will serve the bank’s growing number of customers as the bank taps into the retail business.

“Our decision to open a branch in South B is informed by the fact that the area is a prime business and residential area that offers a market that will allow us to grow our reach in terms of customer acquisition,” Adam Kasaine, Head of Retail Banking, said.

The opening of Digo Road branch marks Bank of Africa’s fourth in Mombasa. The lender, which began operations in Kenya in July 2004 through acquisition of the assets and liabilities of Credit Agricole Indosuez, has seen its share capital grow from Sh250 million to more than Sh5 billion.

To grow its share of the banking market, the bank plans to open 10 branches by the end of this year. The bank is also eyeing to grow its retail market.
