Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is prepared to sell one of David de Gea or Dean Henderson in the summer transfer window.

It comes with both vying for the no. 1 jersey at Old Trafford.

De Gea has been the club's main goalkeeper since his arrival in 2011 and has gone on to prove himself as one of the best in the world.

But a number of errors have crept into his game in recent seasons, with them becoming more and more commonplace.

Henderson has come up through the ranks at Manchester United and has impressed coaches throughout his time.

He spent two seasons on loan at Sheffield United to aid his development.

In those years, Henderson was vital to their promotion to the Premier League and subsequent survival, which saw the Blades finish in the top 10.

However, since arriving back at United, he has had to take a backseat yet again with Solskjaer keeping De Gea as his favoured man between the sticks.

But the Norwegian will not let such a conundrum happen next season, according to The Sun, deciding to sell one of them.

The report states that the feelers have been put out to find a keeper with real class who would be happy to play a handful of games a season.

Despite Solskjaer insisting he is happy with the competition, the matter has become a problem behind closed doors

Henderson only signed a new contract last year, which will now expire in 2025 whereas De Gea's has until 2023 to run.

However, the England hopeful has his international spot to think about as he looks to take over from Jordan Pickford in Gareth Southgate's side.

Solskjaer has always stuck with De Gea during his hairy moments, even incurring the wrath of Sergio Romero last season as a result, who was dropped a cup keeper when United got to the semi-finals.

Nevertheless, The Sun report that both goalies are now effectively fighting for their Old Trafford futures with a decision to be made a the end of the season.
