Louis van Gaal has revealed the two things he is most proud of from his time at Manchester United.

The fiery Dutch manager was in charge of the Red Devils for two seasons after taking over from David Moyes.

In his first season, Van Gaal led United to a top four finish, restoring Champions League football to the club.

The following term he fired United to FA Cup glory. But a sixth place finish proved to be the 66-year-old's demise as he was soon sacked and replaced by Jose Mourinho.

Van Gaal has hit out at United plenty of times since his departure, criticising the board heavily for not supporting him in the transfer market.

But the now former manager has reflected on two success stories from his time at Old Trafford.

"Rashford is a big talent. When they are talents in your time, you are a lucky manager," he told The Sun.

"Only Lingard and Rashford came the second year, then they were growing up. I’m always proud when you win something.

"I was very proud, for example, that we won the FA Cup with United and with those players."
