Harry Kane admits he has been flattered by Zinedine Zidane’s comments — and turned into a Real Madrid fan on the pitch.

Kane was desperate to swap shirts with Cristiano Ronaldo at full-time of Tottenham's 1-1 Champions League draw away to the holders on Tuesday, and plans to keep it as a memento of one of the biggest nights of his career so far.

Spurs striker Kane said: “I asked for his shirt at the end. He was a big role model of mine growing up. It’s a nice shirt to get. I will frame it.

“It was a great night for us. One we can be proud of — the fans can be proud of. The whole club can be proud.”

The Spanish giants have already identified him as one of their primary transfer targets and boss Zidane described Kane the “complete player” in the build-up as he opened the door to a future move for Spurs’ prize asset.

In case the move fails, the European Champions are also keeping tabs on The Red’s forward Marcus Rashford
