Nairobi, Kenya: Gor Mahia’s opponents in this weekend’s CAF Champions’ League first round fixture Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance Sociale Sport arrived today. The plane carrying the Madagascan contingency touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi at 1610hrs.

Confirming to Standard Sports, Gor Mahia FC Organizing Secretary Mr. David Kilo said the team arrived in one batch. “The guests arrived this evening and will be hosted at the luxurious Summer Dell hotel in Nairobi West just meters to Nyayo Stadium – the venue for the Saturday match.”

Hot on the heels of visiting clubs is the new CAF directive that away teams are supposed to meet all their match expenses something that has hitherto been handled by the hosting clubs. Apparently, the Madagascans felt no pinch because everything seems to be in place.

Gor Mahia Deputy Secretary General Naima Oketch sought to clarify. “The Madagascan Consulate in Nairobi has been in close contact with us and it is them that booked accommodation for their team.”

The match has been confirmed for Saturday 14th February at Nyayo Stadium with the return leg in two weeks time in Miarinarivo Madagascar.
