But what exactly were Kenyans doing with their internet that last month? It turns out that among top searches for the month of January, Kenyans searched, among others, Farida Karoney, Samantha and Yvonne Wamalwa. We give you a break down on these names:
Yvonne Wamalwa: Yvonne Wamalwa was the low key wife to the late eight vice president of Kenya, Michael Kijana Wamalwa. Yvonne Nambia Wamalwa was married to Michael Kijana Wamalwa for just six months before he passed on. The two had a beautiful wedding in 2003 that was attended by the then president of Kenya, Mwai Kibaki and the then first lady Lucy Kibaki. She tied the knot when she was 34 years and Wamalwa 60.

Farida is the incoming Cabinet Secretary for Lands in Kenya. Farida, who has been serving at Royal Media Services in the capacity of Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the last 3 and a half years was appointed to that position by President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday afternoon.
She is a communication specialist with over 20 years of experience. Before joining Royal Media Services, Farida worked for the Standard Group as the Head of Editorial at KTN
Samantha:
Samantha is basically the name given to the newest sex doll invention. Samantha was developed by Barcelona-based engineer Sergi Santos. The makers of the sex robot with artificial intelligence, which can be “seduced”, claim men are falling in love with it.
