Kaa La Moto has continued with his experimentation, getting one of Kenya’s best saxophonists and Bango legend Mzee Ngala in on this one. In under six minutes, the song captures generations of artistes that have put their influence on the music map.
The slow, smooth audio is a fusion of Mzee Ngala’s earlier hits with Kaa La Moto’s excellent rap delivery, dwelling on different topics that affect the youth. Totti, made the sound authentic, with every instrument and beat distinctively audible.
Lil G took it a notch higher, literally, with the video, using drones to capture Mzee Ngala’s spectacular and colourful scenes on a Coastal jetty.
The picturesque video is thematically Coastal, as he synchronically blends scenes where the old are giving advice to the young with Swahili houses acting as the backdrop. The art is in the cross-generational collaboration.
