The government has moved to curb rising public anger of the cost of fuel and announced a 30% and 20% cut on excise duty levied on kerosene and diesel respectively. According to finance Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and his energy counterpart Kiraitu Murungi, the move is aimed at helping the public shoulder the burden of high fuel prices. But as KTN's Newton Ndebu reports the move is seen as cosmetic as it translates to just two shillings relief at the pump.
