The ages between 5 and 15 are perhaps the most crucial for human development. It is the age one learns the fundamentals of life and perhaps the happiest age period. But millions of children in Kenya are not privileged to enjoy this period in their lives because of rheumatic heart disease, a disease that eats away at the heart and weakens the body to near immobility.
