Muslims will begin observing the holy month of Ramadhan from tomorrow. Acting Chief Kadhi of Kenya, Sheikh Sharif Al Muhdhar announced that although the scholars tasked with spotting the new moon did not sight it on Tuesday, the faithful may start fasting tomorrow as the 30th day of the month of Shaaban was today. The Chief Kadhi is the only Muslim leader mandated to announce the start and end of fasting.
