Eastern of Egypt beat Kenya’s Green Sharks 2-0 Thursday. The match have no effect on the standings so far. Mahmdouh Mahmoud, and Ahmed Mohamedscored in the 19th and 25th minutes.

Sharkia top the table with 10 points, followed by Eastern (10), Simba (9), Yobe (4), Sharks (1) and Moshi (0).

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Flavian Amuhaya and forward Anita Agunda were outstanding in Sliders 2-1 upset victory over Imo Heartland at African Cup of Clubs Championship.

Amuhaya, who joined Sliders from Mukumu High this year, stood tall in goal and denied marauding Heartland’s strikers chance to put the ball behind the line.

The peak of her performance in the match came when she bravely stopped a spot hit from Heartland set piece specialist and captain Helen Obialor in the first half. As the teams secretary-cum-player Tina (Agunda) put it, Amuhaya kept on parrying back to play all balls from inside the circle.

Playing in the final would be a memorable occasion for Amuhaya who is playing at international level for the first time.

For Agunda, scoring the winner that propelled Sliders to the final made her feel great to be part of the team.

"The victory came out of team work. We had to strategise for the match and things worked our way," she said.
