India: A soldier killed his best friend when he found him naked with his wife after coming home early from work.
Hotheaded Jigar Bhai Vyas, 39, heard his wife talking to another man inside their home and kicked down the door.
He found her alone with his best friend Ranjit Kumar, 38, who was naked.
Army officer Vyas shot his pal dead through the bathroom door as he tried to flee, before turning the gun on his wife and shooting her three times but she survived.
A police spokesman said: "The husband flew into a rage and ran at his friend, who scarpered and locked himself in the bathroom.
"But it did not save him, as the army officer grabbed the handgun, and shot through the door, killing his friend on the spot.
"He then turned round and shot his wife before calling officers on the emergency number confessing what he had done."
When police turned up they found the man sitting quietly at home.
The gun was on a table in front of him in the property in the city of Bhavnagar in western India's Gujarat State.
He was arrested and officers discovered that the wife had been shot three times.
She was still alive and was taken to hospital where her condition was described as critical but stable.
