Five colours that will improve your mood

Fashion Tips

It’s no secret that our mental health has taken a beating thanks to the current happenings in the world. And it seems like there’s no respite especially since Covid-19 has changed so many things about life as we knew it.

Gone are the days when we’d meet up with friends over coffee or a meal, get some retail therapy all in an effort to boost our mental health. We now have to get creative and create new routines that will help us get through the low moments.

Colour is one way of doing this. Some colours are known to bring cheer, confidence and even joy just by their presence.

Personally, I love dark, moody colours like black and navy blue. However, there are days when I reach for the brighter colours and I immediately notice that my mood has improved significantly.

Below are some colours that will improve your mood.

1. Fuschia

If you’re feeling lonely, reach for fuschia. This colour is nurturing and can bring out feelings of kindness and love.

2. Tangerine

This shade of orange will boost your energy levels especially on days when you feel like all you want to do is lay in bed. While you can get rid of that slump in various ways, wearing tangerine will do it for you effortlessly.

3. White

White makes one feel peaceful. It also evokes a feeling of cleanliness. If you feel like the current situation has left you anxious and in need of some form of sanity, why not wear white or shades of white.

4. Saffron

Traditional yellow might not be your cup of tea but why not reach for saffron. Although this colour is bound to get the attention of anyone who sees it, saffron exudes energy and warmth.

5. Pale blue

The colour blue is associated with serenity which we all need right now.

Would you rather see the future or change the past?
