Meghan Markle shares first photo of baby Lilibet with royals

Prince Harry and Meghan are keeping the royal family up-to-date with pictures of their newborn daughter, according to reports.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, whose first daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on June 4, are said to have shared a picture of the baby with Harry's family.

The snap was shared on the royals' WhatsApp group, where extended members of The Firm stay in touch, ET reports.

Lilibet, who will be known as 'Lili', was born at 11:40am local time, weighing 7 lbs 11oz.

Her name honours the Queen's nickname, affectionately used by her family members since she was a child.

Lilibet, the Queen's 11th great-grandchild, was born at a hospital in Santa Barbara, Montecito, where Harry and Meghan own a £11m mansion.

Her middle name Diana is in honour of "her beloved late grandmother" the Princess of Wales, who died in a car crash while being chased by the paparazzi in Paris in 1997.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced Lilibet's arrival on their Archewell website two days after her birth.

They said: "On June 4, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili.

"She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we've felt from across the globe."

Buckingham Palace responded saying the family was "delighted" to hear of Lili's birth.

"The Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are delighted with the news," the statement read.

News of the Sussexes sharing a picture of Lilibet comes after Kate Middleton said she "can't wait" to meet the new addition while visiting a school during the G7 in Cornwall last weekend.

"I wish her all the very best. I can't wait to meet her," the Duchess of Cambridge, 39, said.

"We haven't met her yet. I hope that will be soon."
