The Duchess of Sussex was spotted out and about with Prince Harry meeting baseball stars as the London series brings the Yankees and Red Sox to Britain.

The baseball teams were treated to a royal encounter ahead of their historic clash at London Stadium today.

And both teams even had gifts for a tiny fan.

Meghan was pictured beaming as she held a miniature customised baseball shirt from the team - also getting a Yankees jersey with Archie's name printed on the back.

Harry was also pictured holding a tiny red baseball bat presented to the couple by the Red Sox.

While the Duke of Sussex was due to attend the match, Meghan was not expected to attend.

She has made few public appearances since giving birth to the couple's first child Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor on May 6.

The royal couple were seen shaking hands with the players, and Meghan gets a warm embrace from one of the Red Sox royalty Mookie Betts, who according to recent reports from the Boston Globe, may actually be the Duchess's distant cousin.

The major league teams are in the UK for the London series, which has seen West Ham's Stadium transformed for the sport.

It is the first ever major league game to be played in Europe as the Americans seek to grow the sport on this side of the Atlantic.

The royal couple were attending as they promote Prince Harry's Invictus Games Foundation at Queen Elizabeth Park tonight.

The royals watched as British and American Former Invictus athletes were set to throw the ceremonial first pitch at the Yankees – Sox clash in London.

The prince founded the Invictus Games for wounded, sick and injured armed service personnel to compete in sports.

The foundation was begun to aid the recovery of sick and wounded personnel and veterans.
