Postpartum depression affects one in seven women, according to Postpartum Support International. It’s no wonder that women, celebrities included, are coming out to speak about falling into a depression after childbirth. Ayesha Curry, in a recent interview with Working Mum magazine, shared her experience with postpartum depression.

“It came in the form of me being depressed about my body," said the mompreneur who is popularly known for her candid insights on life as a mother, wife and successful businesswoman.

Curry, 30, and husband, NBA star Steph Curry, have three children aged six, three-and-a-half and 10 months. It was after the birth of her second-born in 2015 that she had the boob job that she later regretted.

"The intention was just to have them lifted, but I came out with these bigger boobs I didn’t want,” she explained.

Many mothers will attest to the sagging that occurs as a result of breastfeeding so it’s understandable that one would want to get them lifted. But for Ayesha, the boob job failed and she hopes never to do that again.

While Curry isn’t averse to people getting a breast augmentation, she says she will teach her daughters to practice self-love and not let society’s harsh demands dictate what they do to their bodies.
