Age spots affect more than 55% of us in the, but it’s easy to banish them with our tips and tricks…

Dark pigmentation and age spots can appear for a number of reasons, including trauma to the skin, certain medications, and over-exposure to UV rays.

While clinical treatments are available, lots of natural remedies can also help them to disappear.

Instead of going for the risky chemical lightening procedures, a great way to make your skin bright and smooth is by applying the papaya and honey mask.

The mask will give a youthful glow as there is an anti-ageing component called alpha hydroxyl acid found in papaya that is common in most anti-ageing skin formulas.

Papaya is used in most skin lightening formulas because it contains papain which simulates skin restoration and cell turn over. The component helps in skin exfoliation hence new skin cells surface revealing a brighter complexion.

However papaya does not contain melanin inhibiting components which cause severe lightening of the skin, the fruit is great for brightening the skin tone complexion and for fading dark spots on your face.

Here is how to make the papaya mask;

Ingredients, ½ papaya mashed, ½ cup of water and 2 tablespoons of honey. Mix together and apply on your face and neck. Leave it on for a period of not less than thirty minutes. The longer you leave it on the better the results
