Six tissue hacks you should know

Living

Tissue paper is widely used in the toilet and to dry and wipe off surfaces. Turns out there is more you can do with this easily available household commodity.

Here are six tissue hacks you should know that could come in handy.

1. Egg and tissue face mask

No need to spend money on whitehead and blackhead removers when you can use egg and tissue.

Beat an egg, apply it on your face and place single sheets of the tissue on your face before the egg dries. Let it sit for 15 minutes or until dry then start peeling the tissue. It works wonders for wrinkles too.

2. Turn a normal lipstick into matte

To get this, start by applying lipstick then take a piece of tissue and press it on your lips. Afterwards, apply powder using a brush on your lips and this will make the lipstick matte.

This will also let your lipstick last longer.

3. Prevent eye shadow from ruining makeup

When applying eye shadow small particles tend to fall on the face ruining your beat up face. Avoid this by placing a piece of tissue over your cheeks to prevent smudging.

4. Fixing your door

When your door does not close properly or keeps banging, take several sheets of tissue and fold them a couple of times and place it on the door to close better.

5. A book mark

As ridiculous as it sounds it works! Take a piece of tissue and place between the pages so that the next time you want to continue it’s easier to find the page easily. It saves time and money.

6. As a candle

No candles? No problem. Take a straw and gently roll a piece of tissue as you fit it in to the straw. Leave a small part hanging, pour some cooking oil until soaked then light it up!
