3 turmeric facial masks that's a must try

An increasing number of scientific studies have revealed the medicinal properties of turmeric. A spice widely used among Indian, Asian and Somali cultures has been a beauty staple for good reason.

Powerful in anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric is a potent facial rejuvenator. Whether it is eczema, blackheads, blemishes, acne or dry skin, turmeric is a boon. Here are a few ways to incorporate turmeric into your beauty routine:

Weekly clarifying turmeric face mask.

Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric with two tablespoons of flour (rice, wheat, chickpea, sweet potato or any similar starchy flour.) Add some yoghurt until it forms a paste. Apply and leave on for 20 minutes then rinse out.

Anti-blemish turmeric treatment

Two teaspoons turmeric powder, 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel (or juice) and one chamomile tea bag. Infuse the tea bag in boiling water. Combine a little of that water with Aloe Vera and turmeric. Apply and leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse and moisturize.

Brightening turmeric moisture mask

Perfect for dry skin and fine lines; Three tablespoons of ground oats, 1 tablespoon raw honey, ½ a teaspoon of turmeric and a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Combine all ingredients to form a thick paste. Apply onto freshly washed skin and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse well.

Experiment with different ingredients in your pantry.

 For instance if your skin is excessively dry you can also mix turmeric powder with dairy cream.

 If your skin is too oily, mix turmeric with rosewater or yoghurt.

Some individuals enjoy mixing their turmeric masks with various essential oils.

PS: Be careful that you do not stain your clothing or pillowcase after applying this mask. When used regularly on a weekly basis, you will begin to discern positive results of adding turmeric to your beauty regimen.
