It was lovely day for a white wedding, and Solange Knowles married Alan Ferguson.
The happy couple tied the knot in New Orleans on Sunday, and they were joined by around 200 family and friends as Solange pledged to spend the rest of their life with the music director.
Beyonce and Jay Z were in attendance after the rapper missed the rehearsals, but they were dressed to impress with their adorable daughter Blue Ivy also joining in the fun. The superstar pair arrived about 15 minutes after the bride and groom, who rode white bikes to the Marigny Opera House showing off their amazing style. Solange wore a plunging v-neck, complemented by a flowing cape and suit trousers while the music video director looked dashing in a matching all-white suit and black shoes - but no tie! Solange and Alan threw a party at a local independent movie theatre before jumping on a converted school bus and driving round town and stopping at several bars. Ahead of their wedding - and by way of a bachelor party - the couple treated friends and family to a special film screening at the Indywood Cinema. The guests watched the 1975 Diana Ross classic Mahogany. Solange, 28 wore a white bridal style dress and arrived hand-in-hand with Alan, 51. "They were talking about how they met and that they bonded (over) this film and then showed everybody the movie. "Solange is getting married to a wonderful man on Sunday and they rented out the theatre for a pre-wedding party. "It was beautiful, they were beautiful, Diana Ross is beautiful, and love is beautiful." Beyonce's husband Jay Z was conspicuous by his absence at the bash but he and Solange haven't always got on swimmingly. In May Jay and his wife stepped into an elevator with her singer sibling before she snapped and started to kick out, unleashing a violent attack which was captured by surveillance cameras. In a video obtained by gossip website TMZ, a man - seemingly a bodyguard - had to step in and hold Solange back after she assaulted Jay Z. It's not known what triggered the fight, which happened at a Met Ball after a party The man who stepped in to stop the assault was seen hitting the emergency stop switch in the lift - which stopped the fight spilling out. As the trio exited the building, Solange still looked angry as she got into a car with Queen Bey, although the Drunk In Love singer's husband was walked to a separate vehicle.
