There are close to a million identification cards now awaiting collection at registration centre's across the country. Officials from the national registration bureau have announced the release of 700,000 new ids. Another 256,000 have remained uncollected for up to ten years. Registration officers are now urging those without identity cards to come forward and register ahead of the 2012 general elections.
