Sheik criticizes Diamond Platnumz for building mosque using proceeds from secular music

Sheik Issa Ponda has accused Diamond of mocking his creator.

Tanzania singer Diamond Platnumz recently marked his first decade in the music industry and to appreciate his supporters, organized a free show in Kigoma which turned out to be a success as it was filled to the brim.

As an appreciation to Allah, the ‘Baba Lao’ crooner went ahead to build a Mosque in his hometown, intending to bring believers together in worship. His offering has however been turned down by the Tanzanian Community and Islamic Institution Secretary, Sheik Issa Ponda who termed the act as illegal.
