Nearly a week ago, a video of an incident in Radio Citizen studios where Mwala tried to forcefully kiss his co-host Melody Sinzore went viral.
In the video, Mwala is seen walking from his seat to Melody’s. It took the efforts of padio presenter Jerida Andayi to stop him.
"Are you my wife or not? Huyu msichana ananizoea (This girl is getting used to me). You're taking this joke too far," Mwala said as he forcefully tried to kiss the hapless Sinzore.
Following criticism from netizens, Mwala issued a public apology to Melody and listeners.
“Pole, sitarudia tena,” said Mwala adding that “Actually, mimi nakuheshimu na kuku-appreciate kama mfanyikazi mwenza kama gwiji ambaye amekuwepo kwa industry kwa mda mrefu so tutadumisha tu heshima na tutadumisha amani.”
