Police are looking for a 16-year-old suspected of killing his mother’s lover in Kericho County.
The incident occurred at Ririat in Bureti on Monday night.
Area chief Anderson Rotich said the suspect lost his temper after the man vowed to continue an affair with his mother, a widow.
“The young man had banished the man from the compound before and when he found him with his mother in the kitchen, he lost his temper. He beat the old man before picking a knife and stabbing him twice in the chest,” he said.
The man died on the spot.
Kericho County Deputy Police Commander Patricia Nasio said: “We are investigating the incident. We are on the trail of the suspect. Once arrested, he will be arraigned to face relevant charges.”
