For more than an hour, Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago was forced to control traffic in Eldoret town which is the Uasin Gishu County headquarters. The governor was caught up in traffic after his officers tried in vain to open traffic for him.

The angry county boss alighted from his car and personally took charge of controlling the traffic jam at the Iten road- Highlands road junction as there were no traffic officers on the road at the time to help free the road.
