KRA intercepts goods worth Sh15 million in Lake Victoria

KRA acting Commissioner for border controls Evanson Mairura and acting Western Regional boss Jonah Ogaro commission a new patrol boat in Lake Victoria. The boat together with that of Kenya Coast Guard will be used to patrol the Lake to curb illegal trade. (Kepher Otieno, Standard)

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has decried increased smuggling of goods in Lake Victoria.

This follows the resumption of voyages across the East African countries that share the lake.
