May 1st marked exactly one since I stood in the beautiful beach town of Port Victoria in the shade of the town's landmark tamarind tree and spoke about many things.

I stood at that respectable spot to remind the people of Bunyala West ward of the fierce urgency of change. I spoke about a campaign that I was going to lead; #MakeWestBest, which ultimately plunged me into competitive politics seeking to become the ward's MCA.
