Nairobi senator has hinted that he is determined to become the next governor of Nairobi county despite all the obstacles facing him.

After being given his certificated of good conduct Sonko has declared he is ready to face his rivals in Jubilee party during the nominations.

According to him, he believes that he is the best candidate to unseat Kidero.He further said that what makes him sure of winning the Nairobi gubernatorial seat if the confidence the residents of Nairobi have in him.

Sonko said that it is the voters who have the powers to reject him and nobody else.He lashed out at those MPs who have ganged against him saying that he is going to overcome their wave.

“The so-called ‘project’ and the incumbent MPs have no right to decide on behalf of 2,304,286 registered voters,” said Sonko.

He further said that only God has the power to deny him the chance of leading Nairobi residents.

According to him what also motivate him is what happened to President Uhuru Kenyatta wanted to become the President of Kenya in 2002 and some people stood against him but he made it and became the fourth President of Kenya.

“I want to tell my rivals within Jubilee Party that even the so-called Kibaki handlers rejected President Uhuru but he still became the President of Kenya,” said Sonko.

A section of Jubilee MPs had declared to bar Sonko from vying for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat and vowed to back his opponent, Peter Kenneth.
