Nairobi; Kenya: Nairobi will host a high level international discussion on 'innovating in Africa on September 30. The event organised by the UK-based 'The Economist Events' and hosted by an American multinational conglomerate General Electric in Nairobi, will bring together more than 70 delegates from the international business community, international institutions, private sector, government and media.
The event is part of a wider programme of meetings taking place in Jakarta, Seoul and Brazil as part of the 'Look Ahead' programme produced by 'The Economist' and sponsored by General Electric.
'Look ahead' provides a daily look at the innovations transforming global business. The participants will also draw on successful examples from Kenya, where innovation, particularly within the ICT sector, has spurred growth over recent years. Key speakers at the event include General Electric Africa CEO Jay Ireland, Safaricom's CEO Bob Collymore and Google's Abdel Bendoua.
