Police arrest trader, seize 21 passports, 71 bullets

A businessman has been arrested after he was found with 21 passports and 71 live bullets in Nairobi's Mugoya estate.

Police said they had been tipped off that the suspect is an illegal bullet dealer before they raided his house on Thursday night.

The seized passports belong to different people and police are investigating to know the motive of the man keeping them.

Pursuing other angles

Nairobi Area PPO Anthony Kibuchi said they are pursuing other angles into the incident to establish the motive.

Meanwhile, a security guard was killed at the Westlands CDF offices and more than Sh230, 000 stolen. The assailants struck on Thursday night.

The guard was on duty when the attackers, who seemed to have information there was money, struck. The area MP Fred Gumo police of laxity in addressing such burglaries.

Gumo asked police to move with speed and arrest those behind the killing of the guard and recover the stolen money.

And in Kayole, police killed three suspected thugs and recovered two guns and three stolen vehicles.
