Kenya’s Obiri, Jepchirchir and Kipyegon among 10 Female Athlete of the Year nominees

Female Athlete of the Year nominees at the World Athletics Awards 2020 [World Athletics]

World 5000 metres champion Hellen Obiri, World Half Marathon champion Peres Jepchirchir and 1500 metres gold-medalist Faith Kipyegon have been nominated for the Female Athlete of the Year category in the World Athletics Awards 2020.

Obiri remains undefeated in the 3000 and 5000 metres races, and was recently the winner in the Women’s 5000m race at the inaugural World Athletics Continental Tour Meeting dubbed the ‘Kip Keino Classic’.
