ODM party leader Raila Odinga on Friday condoled with
activist Okiya Omtatah who lost his daughter.
Through a message on social media, Odinga asked Omtatah to remain
strong during this trying moment, acknowledging that he has been through a
similar situation before.
“My friend Omtatah, pole on losing your daughter Maryanne, to acute malaria. I know the pain of losing a child.
“Let it strengthen you to push harder for policies that
improve lives for our people. God grant you strength to cope with the loss. You're
in our thoughts and prayers,” wrote Odinga.
Earlier, Omtatah took to social media to announce the loss
of his daughter and Kenyans online sent their condolence messages
“Words cannot explain the pain and sorrow of losing my
daughter earlier today. May her soul Rest in Peace,” he wrote.
