Nyeri chief charged with stealing dogs freed on Sh100,000 cash bail

A chief in Nyeri with charged with stealing dogs belonging to a preacher by a Nyeri Court.

Paul Gachiri, in charge of Kihuri sub location in Othaya denied stealing two dogs belonging to Thomas Wahome of Helicopter Ministries.

The dogs imported from South Africa, are of Terrier breed.

Gachiri appeared before Othaya Resident Magistrate Monicah Munyendo and was released on a cash bail of Sh100, 000 or a Sh200, 000 bond with a surety of similar amount.

The case is said to have been taken to court after the chief allegedly failed to prove that the dogs were his.

Wahome is said to have imported the exotic breed of dogs from South Africa
