US revokes visa for ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda

The United States has revoked the entry visa of the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, Fatou Bensouda, her office said on Thursday, a response to her inquiry into possible war crimes by U.S. forces in Afghanistan.

Bensouda is something of a household name in Kenya for her prosecution of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto whose crimes-against-humanity-charges the court dropped in December 2014. She had inherited the case from Luis Moreno Ocampo.
